Diana Teneva (born Diana Ruseva Teneva, Bulgarian Cyrillic: Диана Русева Тенева, October 1, 1966, Haskovo, Bulgaria), Bulgarian poet and teacher of English and French at the Sveti Paisii Hilendarski Comprehensive School, Haskovo. She has published collections of her poetry in 2005, 2010, and 2012. Her haiku began to be published in a dozen or more online journals in 2013 and has appeared in print in Frogpond and Acorn (U.S.A.), Iris (Croatia), and Blithe Spirit (U.K.). Teneva’s haiku were included in Gems: An Anthology of Haiku, Senryu and Sedoka (2014), Big Data (the Red Moon Anthology 2014), Butterfly Dream, volume one (2014), Отвъд думите/Beyond Words (2018), Climats/Климати/Climi (2018), Fuga No Makoto: Ten Years of World Haiku Review 2008–2017 (2019), Peonies/Божури (2019), Морето/The Sea (2021), and Настройване на цигулките/Tuning up the Violins (2022). Teneva has won recognition in the first and fourth Bulgarian International Cherry Blossom Haiku Contests (2015, 2018), the IAFOR Vladimir Devidé Haiku Award (2016), World Haiku Review, Diogen Pro Kultura Magazin, and Tanka Time, and she was listed among the European Top 100 Most Creative Haiku Authors from 2013 to 2019. She resides in Haskovo, Bulgaria.
